Mission

Gospel Centered. Love Focused.

As a body of Jesus Christ, Guam Christian Life Fellowship (GCLF) exists to carry on His mission and ministry on earth. The mission is to be effective witnesses in our own “Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria” and have a part in reaching the lost throughout the ends of the earth. We understand that witnessing involves preaching the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ not only for the purpose of conversion but also to transform lives. Any ministry that is started or created should have the ultimate goal of equipping individuals to fulfill the mission.

Leadership

Pancho “kP” Madrid, Pastor

Pancho Madrid was born and raised in the Philippines and now lives on the island of Guam. He is happily married to his lovely and God-fearing wife, Ahyen for 28 years. They have a 27-year old son, Josh, who recently got married to Jessica Jones; and a 24-year old daughter, Jessa, who lives on the island of Oahu, HI and works as a middle school teacher. Before serving as a bi-vocational pastor at the Guam Christian Life Fellowship, Pancho served in different leadership roles at Bayview Church, where he served as an elder during his last 10 years there. He loves the outdoors and being with people.

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Rom. 12:21

Ahyen Madrid, Pastor’s Wife

“Plan as though you’ll be living for a century…live as though you’ll be leaving today”  – is one of Ahyen Madrid’s life mottos.  She was born and raised in the Philippines and has worked various jobs over the years. But her favorites are being a wife to Pancho, her husband of 28 years, a mom to Josh and Jessa, and now a mother-in-law to Jessica.  God grabbed a hold of her heart at a young age of 10. Ahyen was baptized as a teenager and has been involved in various ministries. She currently manages a Christian bookstore on Guam, facilitates Women’s Connection, and guides GCLF’s Worship Team. She loves meeting with friends over coffee or chocolate and enjoys opportunities to pray and share the gospel whenever she can. God gifted Ahyen with a love for organization and an ability to put plans into action.  Driven to minister with an eternal perspective, she seeks to glorify God above all.

3You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. 4Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.
Isa. 26:3-4

She believes that she is God’s work-in-progress (Phil 1:6) as she makes herself available for God’s kingdom-work.

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Phil. 4:6-7

Francis Dalisay

Francis Dalisay was raised in Guam.  Upon completing his studies at the University of Guam in 2000, he left the island to pursue graduate degrees in Washington state.  After grad school, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio and then later to Honolulu, Hawaii.  Francis was raised a Christian and he attended catholic schools on Guam from kindergarten to 12th grade.  Yet it wasn’t until 2013 when he had made the decision to be baptized by immersion. This baptism would come to mark the renewal of his faith in Christ—Francis’ personal “New Covenant.”  In 2015, Francis and his wife, Edlyn, were blessed with the opportunity to return to Guam.  They have since been active in the faith, church, and fellowship of the Lord.  Francis has been a part of the music ministries of his church in Hawaii and at GCLF.

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
2 Cor. 5: 17

Edlyn Dalisay, Children’s Ministry and Finance Ministry

Edlyn Dalisay believed in the Lord Jesus Christ at a very young age. A proud product of Sunday School from her home church in the Philippines, she now happily teaches the adorable children of GCLF. Inclined to details, she also helps with GCLF’s finances. She and her husband, Francis Dalisay, moved to Guam in 2015 after a brief stay in Honolulu, Hawaii. Other than watching TV series with her husband, Edlyn also likes cleaning and organizing anything in their house. Edlyn believes that with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). This makes her optimistic about everything.

But Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible"
Matt. 19:26

Mario Nuestro

Mario Nuestro believes in the power of God, but didn’t have a personal relationship with Him until after he met his wife. Mario was born and raised in Batangas, Philippines.  In 1988, he moved to Saipan as a contract worker where he also met his wife Ligaya who is a Christian. God blessed them with a son Mark Anthony is 29 years old, single, and actively serving in the military. In 1992, he overheard the gospel inside the car while waiting for his wife who was attending a worship service.  Convicted of the power of God to forgive sins, Mario accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior that day.  Since then, he became involved in various church ministries and has gained so much self-confidence. He is passionate in sharing his faith in God to his siblings, friends, co-workers and even strangers whenever he sees an opportunity. He and his wife moved to Guam in 2012 when a better-paying job opened up. Mario believes that if you put Jesus Christ in all you do, God will bless it.  As a leader and active member of GCLF, he gives God the Glory for everything in his life!

"And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
Joshua 24:15

Ligaya Nuestro, Hospitality Ministry

Ligaya Nuestro believes in the Trinity of God the Father, the Son and the Holy spirit. Born and raised in the Philippines, she has known the Lord through her father who served as an elder in the church she grew up in.  In 1986, God brought her to Saipan where she met and married her husband, Mario. God blessed them with a son Mark Anthony, 29 years old, who is currently serving in the military.  Ligaya believes that God gave Mark to them so that they can share to him their faith in God and His love to him, knowing that he is also a sinner just like his parents. Mario and Ligaya moved to Guam in 2012 and by God’s grace and mercy, her faith and relationship with Him continues. She is blessed with various gift and one of those gifts is service.  Ligaya heads GCLF’s Hospitality Ministry as a servant-minister serving the King of all kings in whatever capacity she can.
