Children’s Ministry
The Children’s Ministry exists to teach children ages 4 through 6th Grade to know the gospel of Jesus Christ and develop a firm biblical foundation in life. Our children join us during corporate singing and proceed upstairs for Bible stories, songs, games, and crafts.

R.I.S.E Ministry
The R.I.S.E (Reaching Island Students Enthusiastically) Ministry was established to reach underserved and socially disadvantaged children needing encouragement, enrichment, and educational support—many of whom have low literacy rates and live below the poverty line. Jesus said in Mark 10:14 “…Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” Indeed, God loves children and our primary goal is to share the Love of Christ and the Greatest News (the Gospel) ever to the children and their families–the fulfillment of the Great Commission and the Great Commandment. The practical manifestation of Christ’s Love is embodied in R.I.S.E where we help children to Rise above their circumstances to overcome academic, emotional, and social challenges by providing tutoring and mentoring opportunities. In the process, we want to teach them the Word of God so they ultimately become the People of God they too would grow in “…in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.” Luke 2:52.

Women’s Connection
The Women’s Connection exists to connect women with God and with other women through Bible study, prayer time and fellowship over a meal. We meet every other Tuesday to encourage, equip, and enrich women to be servant leaders in our home and community and to develop the fruit of the Spirit in our lives with a desire to teach them to younger women also.

Talayerus Ministry
Talayerus is the Chamoru term for fishermen who use the Talaya (net) for catching fish; an island custom and practice that has been handed down from generation to generation. Spiritually, the Talaya is a metaphor for the Gospel of Christ and the Men of God are the Talayerus–Fishers of Men. Our goal is to cast a wide net so that many will hear the Gospel and that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9).
The Talayerus Ministry is designed to disciple men to grow in the following areas:
- Love for God
- Love for Others
- Love for the Word
- Love for sharing the Gospel and Evangelizing the Lost
The secular proverb says “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”. In contrast, we want to teach men a greater truth: to “…love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:30) and to feed on the Word of God and to rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to live a life worthy of God’s calling in fellowship and in service to humanity.

Prison Ministry
Jesus said” I was in prison and you came to visit me … I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:36, 40). There is no place that God can’t reach—no walls strong enough, no fences tall enough, and certainly no heart hard enough that God could not touch—and no crime vile enough to separate people from God’s Grace and Forgiveness. GCLF’s Prison Ministry was initially started in response to a physical need…to provide pillows to the Department of Corrections (DOC) inmates who could not afford one. Since then, God has opened wide the doors to a ministry of teaching God’s Word and sharing the love of Christ to those in the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT) unit whereby individuals undergo a 6-12 month program to prepare them to re-enter society upon release. Our aim is to equip them with a spiritual foundation as they transition into community life.

Prayer Ministry
Colossians 4:2 instructs us to “Be persistent in prayer, and keep alert as you pray, giving thanks to God”. At GCLF we are committed to being persistent and diligent in Prayer interceding for many in our body, our community, and our world. We believe that a praying church is a growing church…growing not in numbers but growing closer to God…. that is our desire. To draw near to HIM, we have set aside Wednesday early mornings (6:00 am) each week for an hour of deep prayer setting before our God the concerns of those in need and seeking His Will. Prayer requests may be submitted to the church office.

Hospitality Ministry
GCLF’s Hospitality Ministry exists to provide us with a home away from home. Our team seeks to welcome visitors and treat them as friends. The ministry greets visitors, passes visitor slips, and invites them to join the fellowship after the worship service where we break bread and get to know each other better. The team also makes sure that the fellowship hall and needed supplies are well prepared for gatherings. We desire to serve just like how Jesus served us.
